Both my daughters play at Linslade Galaxy Girls and I have been so impressed by the setup, which brilliantly enables the players to grow as footballers and people.
I currently support Robin with coaching the Lions U10s, coach the Meerkats U7s and Leopards U8s, (alongside Andy) and coach futsal with the U10s (also with Robin). I am also secretary for the girl’s section which means that I organise fixtures, player registration, and league administration.
In my day job, I am the CEO at a charity, and I am keen to use the skillset and experience from day job to support the club’s day-to-day running and to ensure girls in the local area have the opportunities they deserve to thrive while playing football. In the past I have also coached school football, running and basketball, but this has been my favourite coaching experience to date. I find working with the girls very inspiring, and they genuinely amaze us all at every session with their attitude and development!
In my spare time I love to watch football, and these days as well as being an Aberdeen fan, I now have an Arsenal women and Leighton Town season ticket. I also to run when I have the chance, at a pace which is rapidly declining!
