Today the Lynxes lined up against Flitwick Eagles. Squad numbers were low today meaning no subs, but the girls gave it their all until the final whistle.
Amber got the Lynxes off to a great start feeding off a cross from Grace. Amelie with her new shooting boots on grabbed a hat trick from outside the box on every try. On top of this she puts some great through balls through to the attackers.
Sophie had another great session in goal, keeping a clean sheet. A one point with the ball dropping at the strikers feet straight in front of her, she made herself as big as possible and put off the shot👌
Belle, in a new position at centre back, put in a calm and steady showing. Both Sarayah and Lucy, in left and right back were determined not to be beaten all game. Chloe got the referees POTM and was always there as cover in the central defensive midfielder role.
With Grace and Amber menacing down the wings, with Grace getting forward and Amber doing some great tracking back. Ava played for the first time up front due to her amazing shooting in training, where she got some great experience and was unlucky not to score.
The four goals today were great, but the clean sheet was even better, given the “you shall not pass” effort from the defence.
Due to the extra effort shown by all, two POTM’s were handed out, Amelie for her hat trick and tireless work rate and Sarayah for her wall like defending not letting anything through.
Next up league leaders Luton Town Lancasters which not doubt will be our toughest test we have ever faced.
Thanks to Coach Vig for the match report.
